Vascular Surgeon Christos Bakoyannis was born in 1970 and graduated from the Athens Medical School in 1994.

He specialized in Vascular Surgery at the A' Surgical Clinic of the University of Athens, where he completed his doctoral thesis.

In addition, he received further training at the University Hospital of Vascular Surgery of the University of Dusseldorf, as well as in specialized centers in Germany, in Endovascular Surgery in the surgery of abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms, carotid surgery, surgery of diseases of the venous system such as venous insufficiency of the lower limbs and venous thrombosis, specialised diagnosis and treatment of diabetic foot diseases, and other branches of vascular surgery.

Today, after many years of clinical and academic experience, he serves as Professor of Vascular Surgery at the University of Athens Medical School, at the A' Surgical Clinic of the University of Athens, located at the Laiko Hospital.
In addition, he served at the rank of Lecturer, then at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor of Vascular Surgery and then at the rank of Professor, where he still serves today.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that the vascular surgeon has received a scholarship from the European Society of Vascular Surgery and 2 awards for scientific papers, has participated as a speaker in 30 Greek and 1 international conference, and is a member of 3 Greek and 2 international scientific societies.
